After an engine ECM replacement, a corrupted Electronic Technician (ET) ECM Replacement file, extracted from the original ECM, may prevent the injector trim calibration file for Injector 6 from being properly programmed. If this occurs, it is possible that attempts to manually program the trim file for Injector 6 will also fail. If this occurs, another ECM replacement becomes necessary.

Solution

Do not attempt to program the trim calibration files with the ECM Replacement file that was extracted from the original ECM by Cat ET.

Note: The ECM Replacement file may be used to program the other parameters, provided that the trim calibration files are deselected from the parameter list in the ECM Replacement File.
